Survivors' corner responds to covid - 19

We're In This Together

The world around us is changing, and we are being called to serve others even more than before.

COVID – 19 has impacted everyone in some way. Many small businesses and nonprofits have already closed, and for others the future is uncertain. Individuals are struggling with physical and mental health concerns and financial constraints. Trauma survivors have limited resources available to them at this time to find support, emergency shelter, and basic needs for themselves and their families.  The displaced are even more disconnected from society than ever because of necessary social distancing.

But you can be part of the solution.

Survivors’ Corner needs donors with a heart for improving the lives of those who are suffering in silence and isolation. Since 2017, we have helped our community transform trauma into purpose through our advocacy and legislative reform, free workshops, support groups, and speak outs. Now, we have been called to ensure resiliency in our communities by ensuring those we serve have access to basic needs and emergency shelter during this time of scarcity and uncertainty.

The past several weeks, we provided the equivalent to over 700 meals through our direct street outreach and donations to other nonprofits with underserved clients. We also provided feminine hygiene products, tissue, and other necessity items. There is still so much to be done, so much support that is needed. That’s where you come in.

We are looking for organizations and individuals willing to make a commitment to help us create resilient families and individuals in the wake of this crisis. We will achieve this through:

- Direct food/hygiene product delivery to displaced people

- Temporary lodging accommodations for single women with young children

- Virtual support programs for those experiencing overwhelm

- Virtual meeting opportunities to help our communities remain connected

Your tax deductible donation goes towards keeping these programs alive and ensuring our longevity in the communities we are blessed to serve.
