Survivors’ Corner is actively seeking new board members to begin their service term July 1, 2020. As an inclusive organization, we believe in equity for all and welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply. Candidates will be subjected to an interview with one or more of the current Board Members. After interviews have been conducted, selected candidates will be offered a two year term to serve on the Board in the capacity mutually agreed to by the Board Member and Survivors’ Corner.
Board Officer and Member positions are volunteer roles and compensation will not be provided.

We hold ourselves to a high standard of values and conduct and expect the same from our volunteers. All volunteers and/or staff of Survivors' Corner are required to abide by standards of conduct, as listed in Article VI of our Bylaws.
The following actions constitute misconduct and are subject to immediate Board suspension or employment termination:
A. Physical or sexual assault or violent threats toward others.
B. Embezzling or misdirecting organization funds, client lists or other assets for activities not authorized by the responsible entity.
C. Use of slurs, epithets, threats, intimidations, negative stereotyping or other derogatory language regarding gender, race, ethnic or national origin, color, ancestry, medical condition, religion, age, sexual orientation, identity or physical or mental disability. Actions or behavior that denigrates, threatens, shows hostility or aversion towards, or seeks to exclude an individual or group from participation because of these characteristics.
D. Fraud, libel, defamation or illegal activity of any kind in the conduct of organizational business.
E. Illegal or unethical professional conduct outside the Board if that misconduct could significantly damage the Board, organization, its staff, its clients or its assets.
F. Harassment, threats or any action directed toward organization employees that violate Board and organizational employment policies or are covered by law.
